Sherlock Play Opens Tonight

Deseret News, 2 December 1976, page C13

"The Sign of the Four," a play adaptation of a Sherlock Holmes mystery by Arthur Conan Doyle, will be presented at Kingsbury Hall tonight through Saturday.

The play, adapted by and directed by Juda Youngstrom, is the season opener for the Human Ensemble Repertory Theater.
The Human Ensemble last June abandoned their theater in the Glass Factory on Arrow Press Square, and have been touring to schools and other areas in the state.

Ms. Youngstrom described "The Sign of the Four" as an exotic tale of mystery, oriented to all age groups. She said it has a wonderful element of romance and intrigue that starts in India and ends on Baker Street.

Allen Nevins portrays Holmes, and Randy Milligan will portray Watson. Other cast members include Charles Cochran, Bruce Miller, Vicki Andersen, Dun Glover, Scott Zogg, Sally Koscik, Barbara Smith, Nolan Palmer, and Ira Zuckerman.

Nevins and Milligan portrayed the same characters in the Human Ensemble production of "The Hound of the Baskervilles" last season.
