Dennis Burroughs, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 9 September 2004

What a blessing and what timing for us to send our talented daughter (Sarah Burroughs) out to BYU. She has spent 13 yrs dancing, topped of by 4 yrs in Virginia's Governors School for the Arts. In this program she attended 1/2 days at home school and 1/2 at the arts school all during her high school years. Her 1st 2 years were in the dance dept and her last 2 yrs were in the performing arts dept. She had the opportunity to perform in Smoky Joe's Cafe highlighted by her "Rose in Spanish Harlem" number; How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and a public service DVD "Quit Before You Start" to help heighten awareness for teens about not smoking. During this time she also landed high school parts as Iris in Fame and Glenda the Good Witch in The Wiz, and Virginia Beach's Musical Theatre summer productions of Bye Bye Birdie as "the sad girl" with a dance duet with Albert, and an ensemble player in Pippin. She was always saying how she had wished she had started in performing arts earlier especially when she learned that she missed out performing in Joseph and the Amazing ..... Well thanks to you folks now she got that chance. She didn't waste much time getting right into it out there and I know she's grateful to have this opportunity. Talk about timing. We know you'll love working with her. She has such a sweet spirit and works really hard. Thanks again for your timing.
