The Gem Theater opened before 1922.[1]  The theater was located on Main Street and showed movies from about 1935 to 1950.[2]

In 1931 the Gem Theater was purchased and upgraded by a merchant named W. F. Asimus.[3]

Bill Webb, of Price, was the proprietor of the Jem Theater in 1955.[4]
