(Before - After)

The Central Theatre, at 52 Commercial, was open about 1896.[1]  By 1911, the Variety Theatre appears to have become the Tribune Printing & Publishing building.[2] The theater was also known as the Peoples Opera House. Commercial Street later became Regent Street. The former theater was demolished to make way for the Eccles Theater.
