New Theatre Opens Sunday

Eureka Reporter, 30 September 1910, page 10
Perrington and McQuarrie will open a new moving picture and vaudeville show in the Shea building up on upper main street on Sunday night.  The new house will be known as the Cresent Theatre and the proprietors state that they will resent only the best and cleanest moving pictures and vaudeville acts giving three continuous performances each night.

The new theare is undoubtedly one o the most attractive moving picture houses in the state.  The entire building has been remodelled and fixed up until it presents a most attractive appearance.  The building is about as near fire proof as it is possible to make it and the front and rear exits make it entirely safe in this respect.  The place will have a seating capacity of 500 and the stage, while not large, will be sufficient to accommodate the best vaudeville acts.

Messrs Perrington and McQuarrie have consented to give the entire receipts from their first performance to the [Purela?] Public Library and the library committee will assist them in advertising the opening of the new theatre.
