Dreamland Theatre
Ogden, Utah
Charles and George Driskell were managers of the Dreamland Theatre on Washington Avenue for most of 1908. They made improvements to the playhouse in March, including the addition of landscape panels on the walls made by local artists. In August, the Dreamland added a second projector, eliminating the need for intermissions at reel changes. A claim by George Driskell that he had “worked with untiring energy” to secure exclusive engagements at the Dreamland provoked a strong response from R. W. Strong with 20th Century Optiscope, who claimed the entire credit for resolving booking conflicts lay with the national Film Service Association. Two months later, the Dreamland reopened under the management of Fred Tout and Fred Anderson.

Eureka Reporter, 7 October 1910, page 8
The new moving picture show known as the Cresent Theatre opened up on Wednesday evening and has been doing a splendid business. Good moving pictures and up to date vaudeville acts are being presented, three performances being given each evening.
The new theatre has been fitted up in nice shape and presents a very inviting appearance.
The proprietors of the show state that three changes in pictures and vaudeville will be made each week. This week the vaudeville acts being by Edwards and Howard, song and dance artists. Upon the opening night the Juvenile Band turned out and assisted in entertaining the crowd and as there was almost as many people upon the outside of the building as were able to get inside the doors, the band selections were enjoyed very much.
