Avalon Theatre Building Damaged By Fire
Millard County Progress, 30 July 1937, page 1
A fire of unknown origin broke out in the projection room at the Avalon Theatre Monday morning. Luckily, Paul McBride, the manager, was in the building and heard the flames crackling. He rushed to the room to find that it already had a good start, and had it not been that the projection room was entirely insulated, the fire would have soon spread to other parts of the building.
The damage to the projection room was estimated at between $150 and $200, which was completely covered by insurance.
