The Critchlow Investment company have acquired a ten-year lease upon a lot south of the Reed hotel on Washington avenue. The lot is 35 feet by 150 feet, and upon it they propose to erect a two-story cement building, to be the home of a moving picture theater.
The building will be fireproof, having cement floors and built with a view to withstand both fire and the ravages of time. It will cost $5,000 and will be equipped with opera chairs and every modern convenience. Steam heat will be obtained from the Reed hotel.
Work on the new theater will begin next Monday, and the company fully expect it to be completed in six weeks.
