Ides Theater Preparing to Open in New Building

Times Independent, 9 June 1927, page 1

The Ides theater is making preparations to move into the new Woodman hall, now nearing completion. Tomorrow (Friday) night the theater will give its closing performance at the LDS recreation hall, where it has been housed temporarily since the old Woodman hall was burned down last December. It will take perhaps a couple of weeks to get the theater's equipment installed in the new building and during this interval there will be no picture shows.

Finishing work on the new building is being rushed, and within two weeks the structure will be completed. The exterior is now being stuccoed, and the interior walls are nearing ready for decorating. The electric wiring has been completed, and the first unit of the heating plant is now being installed. The carpenters will commence laying flooring within the next week.
