New theater will feature both movies and plays

Deseret News, 22 November 1974, page 4A

The Green-Briar Theater, a new theater which will feature both movies and live stage productions, will open in West Jordan in the near future.

The new two-sided place of entertainment, owned by Jack and LaRue Green, will have an arena-type area for live productions and a movie area, each with approximately 300 seats.

A new stage production will be presented about once a month and only G and PG movies will be presented, according to Mr. and Mrs. Green.

"We are also going to charge nominal admission prices so that families may attend," Mrs. Green said.

Among the early stage productions will be "Babes in Toyland," "Star Spangled Girl," and "Fiddler On The Roof."

Persons interested in performing, or in assisting in production are invited to call Mr. or Mrs. Green at 255-5961.
