Ribbon cutting ceremonies for the newly remodeled Utah Theatre, 148 S. Main, will be Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., John N. Krier, vice president and general manager of Intermountain Theatres, announced Tuesday.
Remodeling includes creation of an 807-seat theatre for the downstairs. Still under construction is the 624-seat "Penthouse Theatre" which will be located on the second story.
First stage remodeling represents and investment of about $250,000 and is calculated to enhance downtown's entertainment allure, Mr. Krier said.
The ribbon cutting precedes the first showing of "Doctor Dolittle" in the Intermountain Area.
