Action Pending on Drive-in Speaker Theft

Times Independent, 12 March 1959, page 1

Action is pending on a Moab youth who was picked up for allegedly having stolen a speaker from the Grand-Vu Drive-In Theater.

Robert Ossana, manager of the Grand-Vu stated that an attempt had been made to cover identifying marks on the speaker with silver paint but had not been able to accomplish this successfully.

Stealing of speakers has occurred several times in the past, making it necessary for Mr. Ossana to mark all speakers. Also, all poles and speakers now carry an identical number and the license plates of all cars are taken along with the number of the speaker being used, Mr. Ossana reported.
