'Avalon,' New Name Chosen for Thorley Theatre

The manager of the Thorley theatre announces the selection of “Avalon” as the new name for the Thorley.

Inasmuch as the Thorley Theatre has been operated since 1913 under the name given to it by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Thorley, they were permitted to chose the new name from the hundreds of entrys submitted.

The following persons will participate in the prize money by reason of having submitted the winning name: R. S. Hart, Don Nelson, Clyde Loman and Marguerite Neilson. They will receive their prize money Sunday, June 18th. At 5:30 P. M. at which time checks will be presented from the stage of the Avalon Theatre.
