Carmike Cinemas opened the Ritz Cinemas and Hollywood Connection Family Entertainment Center on 20 November 1998. The 165,000-square-foot complex was part of an “entertainment mecca” which included the Hale Centre Theatre and the West Valley City E Center (now the Maverick Center.) In addition to 15 movie screens, the Hollywood Connection included a carousel, roller coaster, bumper cars, miniature golf, skating, arcade, restaurant, ice cream parlor, and laser tag. Carmike's goal was to have enough entertainment under one roof so families wouldn't have to go around town.

Gem Theatre to Reopen

Everyone is invited to come to the Grand Opening of the Twins Gem Theatre in Panguitch on April 22 and 23, with special get-acquainted prices of a child’s ticket of 35c for all.
The theatre has been completely cleaned, painted and overhauled, and a Snack Bar added. See back page in this paper for shows and time.
