Capacity Enlarged at the Utah Theatre
Ogden Standard Examiner, 8 September 1919, page 2
Manager A. J. Fyhn of the Utah theater is enlarging the seating capacity of his popular playhouse. Mr. Fyhn states that the opening of the show season has brought increased crowds to his theater and he has been at his wits end to accommodate them, the only solution to the problem being the extension of a series of rows of seats immediately facing the stage.
Carpenters and concrete drillers are busy making the improvement. The work, however, will not necessitate discontinuing any of the shows as it can be readily discontinued while the plays are on. The extension will accommodate about 150 people which will give the house seating capacity of 600. This will greatly facilitate matters and afford more theater-goers an opportunity to see productions that are offered every day. This improvement will be completed I the course of a short time.
