Now There Are 3 'Centuries'

Salt Lake Tribune, 26 February 1972, page 24
Century 22 Theatre, 2nd East and 33rd South, has been split in two, with the second theater, called Century 23, to open Wednesday.

Roger Peyton, local manager for Syufy Enterprises, San Francisco, owner of the theaters and Century 21 at the same location, said former seating capacity of 999 will be divided between the two facilities.

Work on division of the theater was performed by Bettilyon Construction Co.

Mr. Peyton said the opening attraction will be "Snow Job," featuring Jean Claude Killy.

The new Century 23 theater will use the same entrance, snack bar and rest rooms as Century 22.

More first-run pictures can be offered by dividing the theater, he said, and all seats will be rocking chair loges.
