A new 796-seat showhouse, the Fox Theater, will open at 233 W. 1230 N. in Provo early in May, according to William H. Thedford and Dan A. Polier, vice presidents and co-directors of theater operations for National General Corp. of Los
Angeles.

National General, which also operates the Uptown, Villa, South East and Rialto in Salt Lake and the Academy in Provo,
also plans to open additional drive-in and indoor theaters in Salt bake and Ogden soon.

The Provo theater will cost $500,000. It is a one-story stadium-type theater with the latest projection and sound
equipment.
