Salt Lake Tribune, 10 October 1962, page 14
Cinerama is 10 years old this month, and the Villa Theatre is celebrating the event with a gala birthday party Wednesday evening and other events throughout the month.

The birthday fete at the Wednesday evening performance of "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" will include special entertainment and favors for all, according to Ted Kirkmeyer, city manager for Fox Theatres, and Nina Cutrubus, Cinerama representative.

Special for Groups

All retired people with birthdays Oct. 10 will be admitted free to the Wednesday matinee.

In every group of 10 attending the show through Sunday, two will be admitted free.

During the Oct. 15-21 week, all students with activity cards ending in the numerals 10 and all 10-year-olds with birthdays during the week will be guests of Cinerama any evening or for Saturday and Sunday matinees.

To Show Fashions

On Oct. 20 there will be a 10 a.m. special show with rates for groups of 10 youngsters.

From Oct. 22-28, all persons with surnames beginning with the letters G-r-i-m-m - will be guest of the theater and receive special gifts.  A fashion show during intermission of the matinee Oct. 27 will have as its theme, "The Wonderful Fashions From the Magical World of the Brothers Grimm."

Incidentally, 1952 must have been a vintage year for girls, Miss Cutrubus said.  In tracking down 10-year-olds whose birthdays fall Oct. 10 to be special geusts at the Wednesday night party, she located 16 - of whom 15 were feminine.
