The following information will help you prepare for the auditions:

SINGING: Be prepared to sing 16 measures of an upbeat Broadway musical (nothing from Wicked or Hamilton). Bring your sheet music. Bring your music on an electronic device. NO accompanists will be provided. If you have someone to play for you, a piano will be available.

DANCING: Be prepared to learn dance steps by wearing appropriate footwear and clothing (no flip-flops or sandals). You will be asked to perform the learned dance steps in a group during auditions. There will be a tap number, so dust off your tap shoes, and show us your tap steps!

ACTING: Some may be asked to read lines and do some improvisation. Presenting a one-minute monologue is optional at call backs only.

SPECIAL SKILLS: If you have special skills, such as gymnastics or acrobatics, please let us know at auditions. We would love to see these special talents!

CALL BACKS: Call backs will be held May 14, 15, and 16. If we need you to return for a call back you will be notified as to which date and time. Not every role needs a call back, so please remember to check the final cast list, even if you didn’t get called back. You will be notified of the venue for call backs.

FINAL CAST LIST: The final cast list will be posted on the ACT website on Friday, May 17, after 7:00 p.m. Please check the list, even if you did not receive a call back!

MANDATORY PARENT/CAST/STAFF MEETING: If you or your child are cast in this musical, you must attend this meeting with your child on Tuesday, May 21, at the Valentine Theater from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A read-through for leads will follow from until 10:00 p.m.
