Kingsbury Hall

The University of Utah dedicated its first auditorium, Kingsbury Hall, on 22 May 1930. The $275,000 assembly hall was funded by the State of Utah and named in honor of Joseph T. Kingsbury, who served as President of the University from 1897 until 1926. Kingsbury Hall is one of nine buildings in the University Circle historic district, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The auditorium was built with a projection booth and an organ loft, to accommodate silent films.

In Support with President Trumps encouragement of no gathering greater then 10, which will effect Stadium Cinemas. We will cancel showing after the 7:00 showing today. If you have tickets for Tuesday - Thursday of this week, we will reimburse you.
The box office will be open today until 7:15 tonight (Monday), but if you are unable to get your money back before then, please message us and I will make arrangement to get your money back to you.
We are so sad to close, Because we have never closed since we opened in April of 2000. But we know it is necessary for all our health and well being.
