Season Adjustments
(Theater), 14 March 2020
It has been a crazy year for everyone and at the Hopebox that is no different. But, we still have a mission to bring hope to families battling cancer through the performing arts and we plan on continuing to do just that in every way that we can.
Unfortunately we are going to have to make a few more season adjustments in response to COVID-19 safety requirements.
• First, we hope to resume our Hopebox Performing Arts season in July with Thoroughly Modern Millie. Once we are able to finalize dates and if it is deemed safe to continue, we will open up ticket sales again and hopefully see you in a 20's that roared a little differently than 2020.
• In order to help us safely continue our season, we have auditions for Sound of Music tentatively planned for June 16 - 20. We will have special instructions for auditioners with the audition registration so that we can maintain a safe space for all involved. We plan to continue following with the guidelines put out by our state and the CDC, so please understand that these auditions may be postponed or cancelled all together based on safest practices. Please check back on our auditions page soon for signups.
•The Showstoppers Productions (the youth theater program that shares the Hopebox Theatre space) are hoping to resume their production of Cinderella in June.
We take the safety of all of our Hopebox Family very seriously and further adjustments may be necessary.
We want to say a quick thank you to all those who have reached out and found ways to support the Hopebox as we leave on the ghost light for now. Also, thank you to all the first responders, medical staff, grocery store clerks, and other essential personnel who are doing all they can to save lives and help us have as normal a life as is possible right now. Thank you!
Hopebox Family, stay safe and we hope to see you all once our season resumes.
