Anderson gets the New Theater
Carbon County News, 7 November 1912, page 1
Friends of Elmer Anderson are congratulating him on having been the successful contestant for the lease on the new theatre building erected n this city by Emmett Olson. As soon as it became known that Mr. Olson was erecting an up-do-date theatre, offers for the lease began to come to him and it was for a time a question as to whether Mr. Anderson or an outside was to the the place. Anderson won out, however, and the lease was signed last week. The lease runs for a period of three years and provides that possession is to be given before December 1.
The name for the new playhouse has not yet been selected, but Mr. Anderson is going to allow the people of Carbon county to name the place, offering a nice cash prize for the most suitable name.
