In early 1977, an addition on the north side of the original building provided two additional auditoriums.  The addition is set back from the original lobby and lacks a covered walkway.

The Cottonwood Mall Theater is shown at the bottom of this 1997 aerial photo. The lower right portion of the building is the original auditorium, which was split into two theaters in 1976. The lobby is on the west end of the building. Two additional auditoriums were added on the northeast end of the building in 1977. The southeast end of the Cottonwood Mall is pictured in the top of the photo.
