The Motor-Vu Drive-In opened in 1947[1] and is located about a mile off of Riverdale Road near the south of Ogden.  With four screens on 23 acres and a capacity of up to 1,200 cars, the Motor-Vu Drive-In is the second largest drive-in theater in the state of Utah.[2]

In 1967 Fox Intermountain Theatres, a subsidiary of National General Corp., acquired operation of the Motor-Vu Drive-in.[3]

The current owner of the Motor-Vu Drive-In is Howard Coleman, who began working at the theater in 1952 as a lot boy.  He worked his way up to manager before buying the drive-in in 1979.  Coleman has no intention of selling the property and regularly turns away developers offering large sums of money.[2]
