Salt Creek Cinemas opened on 9 October 2009 in the Salt Creek Plaza on the east side of I-15 at Exit 225.  The three-screen theater is all-digital and has stadium seating.[1][2]

Salt Creek Plaza was developed by NHN Holding Company LLC, owned by Troy Howard, owner of Central Valley Mechanical; Farrell Newland; Ken Newland; and Steve Robison, owner of RCF, Inc.  Groundbreaking for the $2 million development was on 1 February 2009.[3]   A Quiznos franchise, also owned by NHN Holding, opened in the plaza on 2 July 2009.[2][3]

Salt Creek Cinemas is the first movie theater in Nephi since the Venice Theatre downtown was destroyed by fire on 27 November 1983.   Salt Creek ran below the Venice Theatre and was used to cool the theater during summer months.
