A proclamation signed Tuesday by Gov. George D. Clyde asks Utahns to remove the barriers to employment of physically handicapped persons.

THE GOVERNOR'S action was witnessed by Maurice Warshaw, Salt Lake businessman and chairman of the Governor's Committee on Employment of the Physically Handicapped.  Mr. Warshaw also is Utah's representative on the President's Committee.

The goals, expressed nationally and in the state, are for equal employment opportunities for the handicapped.

Gov. Clyde's proclamation establishes this week as "National Employ the Physically Handicapped Week."

Mr. WARSHAW said a luncheon of business and civic leaders Thursday at Hotel Utah would mark the observance and launch the current year's program.
