Fillmore to have new Dance Hall and Opera House

Millard County Progress, 11 September 1908, page 1
It is learned upon good authority, that Fillmore is shortly to have a fine new dance hall and opera house. The building, as at present planned will measure about 110 feet long by 50 feet wide thus giving us an inside floor measurement of 94 x 44 with 15 feet taken off for the stage or 3740 square feet of dancing room. It is to be strictly modern in every respect and will cost about $3000. The site of the proposed building is part of the Greenwood lot fronting on the Main St., which was purchased by Mr. Tompkinson a while back.

The sole promoters behind this much needed enterprise, it is said, are Mr. Brigham Tomkinson and Mr. J. L. Smith.
