WEST JORDAN - A live performance with "babes" at a West Jordan theater was closed by the city manager Wednesday night at its opening. The show: "Babes in Toyland."
"Actually, we're tickled at the type of theater this is," City Manager Glendon Leak said after he told Mrs. LaRue Green to vacate patrons of her new theater, the Green Briar, 8261 S. Redwood Rd..
Mr. Leak said the facility hadn't been inspected for fire safety, a necessary requirement for a business license.
"Babes in Toyland" was scheduled for a live performance when Mr. Leak, a West Jordan police officer and a county sheriff's deputy closed the show house.
