By November 2002, the former Cottonwood Mall Theatre had become a church.  The attraction board of the lobby reads, "Fountain-Gate Ministries.  Sunday 10 AM.  Jesus Saves."  A concrete barrier blockes the south entrance to the small front parking lot.

By 2002, the former theater was occupied by Fountain-Gate Ministries, although a back-lite sign for Carmike Cinemas Cottonwood 4, still appeared on the side of the building.
