Drive-In Robbed By Lone Bandit

Murray Eagle, 15 May 1958, page 6
A lone bandit armed with a .38 caliber pistol robbed the Redwood Drive-in Theater, 3700 S. Redwood Rd., of $46 Monday about 9:06 p.m.

The gunman started to drive his car in when he returned apparently for 15 cents in change he had left behind.

Instead he pulled out the pistol and ordered LeRoy Mitchell, 34, 4360 W. 5335 South, theater manager, into the ticket office.  Inside he told Mr. Mitchell and two employees, Joseph Lubbers, and Miss Kay Campbell, to put the money in the bag."

He then left the hold-up victims and drove out of the theater and turned north along Redwood Rd.
