Tuesday evening, Dec. 27th, the Y. L. M. I. A. of Centerfield gave a welcoming party to the new settlers, who mostly consisted of Davis county people, in the Centerfield Opera house. The evening was spent in dancing, lunching and getting acquainted. Mr. Sylvanus Nelson gave the response to their hearty welcome.
