Snakes Slithering at the MegaPlex Theatres

MEGAPLEX THEATRES IN CORRELATION WITH THE REPTILE RESCUE SERVICE OF UTAH WILL DISPLAY SNAKES SIMILAR TO THOSE FROM THE NEW MOVIE SNAKES ON A PLANE.
WHO: Megaplex Theatres and the Reptile Rescue Service of Utah.
WHAT: Snakes similar to those from the new movie Snakes on a Plane (starring Samuel L. Jackson) will be on display at the Megaplex 17 at Jordan Commons and at the Megaplex 20 at the District in South Jordan. The snakes will be showcased free to the public on Friday, Aug. 18 from 4-6pm at Jordan Commons and Saturday, Aug 19 from 4-6pm at the District. Everyone is invited to attend with their cameras.
Volunteers from the Reptile Rescue Service will bring a variety of snakes including a 15ft Burmese Python, the same species as the snake featured on the Snakes on a Plane movie. Other snakes will include a 160lb. Green Anaconda, a 14ft Burmese Python, a 6ft. Albino Burmese Python, 8ft Red Tailed Boas and miscellaneous Corn and Ball Pythons snakes.
Reptile Rescue Service is a non profit organization that educates the public about snake safety. “We teach groups from Kindergarten to College about snake safety, said James Dix, Reptile Rescue Founder and Utah Licensed Venomous Snake Handler. “Snakes are actually very intelligent and beautiful reptiles and important to have in our eco system. They are harmless and the only time they should be killed is if it’s a life threatening situation.” Reptile Rescue provides snake removal, wildfire and field rescue services to Utah.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Samuel L. Jackson stars in the intense action feature "Snakes on a Plane" from director David Ellis ("Final Destination 2," "Cellular"). Jackson plays an FBI agent who is escorting a witness on a flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles when an assassin releases hundreds of deadly snakes on a commercial airplane in order to eliminate the witness. The FBI agent, along with a rookie pilot, frightened crew and passengers must then band together in a desperate attempt to survive.
