The main auditorium of the expanded Kaysville Theater reopened on 21
February 1992, featuring "new decor, restrooms, seats, snack bar and
admission prices." The two new auditorium were not expected to be
completed until May 1992. The main auditorium now seats about 260 and
the new auditoriums are expected to seat about 125 each. "The restrooms
have been greatly expanded and made accessible to the handicapped as
well . . . The theater's aging sign out front will be replaced by May,
and Call said the slogan of 'Davis County's Finest Theater' will
disappear. 'We inherited that sign when we bought the building,' Call
said." The expansion project was financed from the sale of a theater on
Roy, which was demolished to provide parking space for a new grocery
store.
"Call also owned the dollar theater in Roy, but expansion by a grocery chain forced him to close that theater last year. It has now been replaced by a parking lot for the new store"
