Sundance: Trolley Corners to Oscar Night

The Sundance Film Festival was first held on 6 - 11 September 1978 at the Trolley Corners Theatre in Salt Lake City. It was originally called the "Utah/U.S. Film Festival" and was heavy on classic films, but eight films competed in a "regional cinema" program.
