Mayor Jim Miller: FatCats groundbreaking a sign of things to come

FatCats held a groundbreaking on 12 June 2018 for its first movie theater and fully-integrated entertainment complex in Utah.

FatCats Saratoga Springs:

• 7-acre, 61,000-square-foot facility
• 8 luxury movie theaters
• 20 bowling lanes
• an arcade
• a full-service grill
• mini-golf
• three to four virtual reality rooms with the ability to rotate through 80 different virtual reality scenarios based on the season

In Saratoga Springs, population doubled over the last eight years.  From 2000 to 2010, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development identified Saratoga Springs with the fastest growth rate in the state at 1,672.8 percent. Current population projections are expected to jump another 33 percent in the next five years and 66 percent in the next 10 years.

Residents of Saratoga Springs have had to drive east over-congested roads to shop, work, or see a movie.  Businesses like FatCats provide added value to the quality of life.
