My high school “night” job was projectionist at the “Utah.” Swede was the owner and operator. One evening Curt or Brent (ushers) saw some one let friends sneak in the fire exit. They told Swede and he sent them some free popcorn by way of the usher. After the show the “sneaks” asked to talk to the manager, they apologized for sneaking in and offered to sweep the floor. Swede told them than anytime they wanted to work for a show they were welcome. He made three friends for life that night. Swede was happy too, “As long as kids want to sneak in, the theater is not dead.”
