Duane Hansen, Murray ut., 24 November 2001

This is one of the grandest and most beautifull theaters I have ever been in. I have seen more movies in this theater then any other. South Pacific, and How the west was won, just to name two. This Theater must be saved!!! I want to do all I can to save it.

Aaron, SLC, UT,

I currently work at the Villa Theatre, and as the crew down there currently knows the Villa is not closing due to property restrictions, The Villa is on a free rent basis that means about 4-5 shows a year brings in at least 200-500 customers is a profit for us, but as we still know it may actually close down but it is still a big rumor. we are talking about downgrading the building a bit, we need your support people.

save the Villa

Kyle W.Jones, Salt Lake City,

I have been visiting the Villa theater for over twenty years and it would be a great lost if it was not used at it was intended. The last time I visited was in the last 60 days. Please do not close it.

Kelli Jensen, Salt Lake City,

This theatre is truely one of the happiest memories, and continues to be so in my life. The first time a went was on my birthday to see Its a MAD MAD MAD WORLD., I was 6, and I have been going ever since. I can just drive by it and get a happy wonderful feeling, from seeing the Omen, to a special screening of Star Trek Voyage Home, Indiana Jones, the hugh line down the street for Fatal Attraction, and of course all the Disney Premiers, (I always went on the first day)Capricorn One in l977, to the Horse Whisperer, and a special screeing of THE X-FILES movie. How about Jason and the Argonaunts on a special saturday morning show back in the late 60's. I havn't even gone into the building, itself, the wonderful design, the location, the screen. Can we talk?
Not to mention the way the whole place oozes with CLASS. I adore that place and I will do everything, and anything to help keep it just the way it is for now and the distant future!

Kurt C. Jensen, Salt Lake City,

I grew up watching all the great movies at the Villa. I would be very sad to see it go. Please contact me on how I can help save it. Don't let it end up like the Centre or the Regency. Someone should contact George Lucas or Steven Speilberg, to see if the

Kelli Jensen, Salt Lake City, Utah,

This is one of my favorite things in life. When I think of allthe happ times I have spent inside that beautiful theatre my heart breaks at the thought of somebody destroying it. What can we do? What about a fund raiser. What is the status of the sale? Is

Yvette Cadwallader, SLC UTAH,

I worked at the Villa as a teen and remember when we had period costumes for each movie and gala premiers for the openings of all the "big" movies which we almost always got. I also have many fond memories of going to the free movies as a child. It would

Amy "Porthos" Holmes, Portland, Oreon,

I was told about the Villa two weeks before I went there, I was given a grand tour of the facilities there by one of the managers. He explained the history within it and I was shocked to hear that such a beautiful peice of history might be made into a furniture store. The manager was very passionate about the Villa and if it is made into a historical landmark, as it should, he should be thought of as a possible curator. Thanks for the tour Mr. Producer! Amy Holmes

Mike Hofhine, SLC - Mountair Acres,

We must organize and fight. Viva la Villa.

Gary O, Nashville, TN,

I was born in UT and have many fond memories of the big, grand movie theatres of SLC. The last grand theatre in Nashville was turned into a bookstore. Don't let that happen to The Villa.

Emily Jensen, Bountiful, ut,

The Villa is awesome! I wish I could do something to help! Multiplexs are entertainment business, Villa is entertainment art!

LEJEUNE DECKER, Arizona,

I remember a true-life ride on a roller coaster as part of Cinerama at The Villa. Unforgettable.I hope the theatre is saved.

Kurt and Karen Wiest, Pleasanton, CA,

Thanks for taking up the cause for the Villa. We bought our first home in 1985 around the corner on Zenith Avenue. We moved a few years later but have many fond memories of evening walks to and from the Villa. The Villa is a treasure worth saving!

Anne Waterman, Holladay, Utah,

I love the Villa! I remember seeing Xanadu and Top Gun there. My grandparents lived across the street and we would get candy at the corner store and go to the "big movies"! I loved taking my little brother to the Disney movies there and it's always got th

Ron Rowley, Sandy, UT,

I have been seeing movies at the Villa since I was a kid. What a great experience it has been!!! I hope it can stay as a great fixture here in the valley.

Lisa Hildebrand, Salt Lake,

I should have been born in the 40s because everything that was made then was designed with style and quality. I love the Villa. The new sound system is great.

"Game Wizard", Los Angeles, CA,

I'll be there and I don't even live in the same state.

"Game Wizard", The Villa!!,

The Villa is an amazing, gorgeous place to visit. If it's to be destroyed, I know I for one will be there to protest.

Chris, The Villa,

I love that place. I only continue to put up with Carmike because I do. Nobody better mess with it.

Cyndi Boyer, Layton,

Some of my fondest memories of the Villa are of the matinees during summer break when I was a child. Please save the Villa.
