The Heritage Center for the Performing Arts opened in the summer of 2002, filling the need for a music venue in Cedar City. The theater cost $8.5 million and was funded by a municipal bond. The Heritage Center has 1000 seats and a balcony, but can also accomadate smaller audience by curtaining off all but 150 seats. "The dressing rooms, green room, loading dock, backstage and public restrooms are spacious. Below the theater a full basement features meeting rooms and a kitchen."[1]
