Provo's new $8.5 million Center for the Arts will officially open on 7 August 2007 with a performance by country artist Neal McCoy. The center will host some events, such as the Miss Provo contest, as early as June 2007. The theater has 670 seats, all within 60 feet of the stage.  The center will be home to the Utah Valley Symphony, Utah Regional Ballet, Wasatch Chorale, and Utah Lyric Opera.[1]
