The production “My Daughter, Your Son,” starring Marion Ross, opened 7 February 1997 at “Salt Lake City's new theatre restaurant,” Tiffany's Attic in Arrow Press Square.   Marion Ross starred in “Happy Days” and was a “veteran of dozens of major motion picture roles and hundreds of starring roles on television.”^[1]  The address of Tiffany's Attic was 115 South West Temple.^[2]

In the early 1980s, the Salt Lake Acting Company and the Human Ensemble Company performed for a couple seasons in “the tiny Glass Factory Theatre space at Arrow Press Square.”^[3]

The Cartoons Comedy Club opened at 115 South West Temple in the early 1980s.^[4]  In 1989 it became Club DV8, which “quickly became one of the hottest dance clubs and concert venues in Salt Lake.”  The Salt Lake Fire Department closed the club in 2004 because the sprinkler system was not up to code.^[5]

Flames were spotted in the vacant building about 8:40 PM on 23 January 2008, possibly caused by transients.  The four-alarm fire threatened two adjacent buildings, also vacant, but the nearly 70 fiirefighters from the Salt Lake and Unified Fire Authority were able to contain the blaze.  By morning, Salt Lake City building officials determined the Club Dv8 building was structurally unsafe and needed to be demolished immediately.  Not even fire investigators were allowed to enter.  Demolition crews tearing down the old Crossroads Mall were diverted to help.  An early estimate put the dollor loss at $1 million.^{[4][5][6][7][8]}
