Joseph Sims and David Tolliver opened the Maze Theatre on 27 April 1912, in the remodeled Woods restaurant building.  The partners had “a wonderful machine” which had earned them a good reputation in “the reservation country” where they had previously held their picture shows.  Morley Vernon of Maeser served as pianist and Miss Thompson as soloist.^[1][2]  An advertisement boasted the Maze had the “newest and best pictures to be seen in Vernal, with “ripping vaudeville for Saturday night.”   Admission was 15 cents for adults and 10 cents for children.^[3]
