The Ogden Theatre rose on the site of the Utahna Theatre, utilizing the west wall of the old structure for building the new structure. It opened in 1909.
The Ogden was soon purchased by the David H. Peery Estate. (Harman and Louis Peery would eventually build the Egyptian Theatre in Ogden as well.)
The Ogden was leased, along with the Egyptian, to the fledgling Fox Inter-Mountain chain in 1936, with which it was affiliated until its closing.
