Back in the early 60s, I had the fortune to be invited by Laurance Bray to come out for a visit and play the marvelous organ at the Bray Organ Loft. At the time, Gus Farney was the "staff organist" and was in the midst of making recordings at the Organ Loft. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay 3 days and I hardly left the console day and night. Laurance was such a gracious host. The organ was black and with gold gilt at that time. I am glad to see the Organ Loft still exists and hope it might become a historical landmark for Utah. - R. Hicks
