The Cinemark at Station Park is part of a $200 million development built at the juncture of I-15, Legacy Parkway, U.S. Highway 89, and Frontrunner.  The 62-acre retail center provides a downtown village atmosphere with fountains, trees, outdoor dining, and performance areas.  The transit-oriented development allows commuters to spend money as soon as their arrive at their destination, similar to how gas stations and convenience stores are placed next to freeway off-ramps.^[1][2]

Station Park will have 60 shops and up to 15 restaurant, including Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, J.C. Penney, Ross, Staples, Petco, Lane Bryant, Sports Authority, and Bed, Bath & Beyond.  Also planned are an ice rink, a fountain, and a six-story, 130-room hotel.^[1][2]

Rich Haws, owner of Haws Co. and a member of the Stonehenge Development Team, began buying land for Station Park in 1996.  After working with the city of Farmington on the project from 2000 to 2006, Haws sold the land to California-based CenterCal Properties.^[1][3]

Station Park was one of the largest redevelopment projects in Davis County.  In 2005 the Farmington City Council approved $18.5 million for the project, to be paid from property taxes generated by the retail center and reinvested into the project over twenty years.^[3]

CenterCal officially began work on Station Park with a groundbreaking ceremony on 13 August 2008.^[1] Grand opening will be in Spring 2010.^[2]
