The six-screen Reel Movie Theatre opened at 151 East 12th Street in Ogden on 18 April 1997.^[1] After the Reel Theatres chain entered bankruptcy, the theater was renamed the Pointe Theatre.  About 2001, the North Pointe Theatres opened in North Ogden, forming the Pointe Theatres chain.  In October 2008, sixteen months after the opening of the Megaplex 13 at the Junction, both the Pointe Theatre and the North Pointe Theatres closed.^[2] By January 2009, the Pointe Theatre reopened as the Cine Pointe Theater.^[3]
