Destination 12 Theatres 4000 South Midland Drive West Haven, Utah |
In June 2009, Metropolitan Theatres announced a Fall 2011 opening for a 12-screen movie theater at The Destination in West Haven. The 225-acre development is expected to draw patrons from 12 to 20 neighboring communities, with a population base of 135,000 to 200,000. In addition to entertainment, The District will feature 65 retail stores, 225 homes, walking trails, and open space.[1][2]
The theater complex, Metropolitan's second in Utah, will feature stadium seating with 18-inch risers and 48 inches between rows. Reserved seating will allow patrons to select their own seat before entering the auditorium. All auditoriums will be equipped for digital projection and digital sound, with 3D for select releases. Self-serve concessions will reduce time spent waiting in line. A cafe will offer coffee flavored beverages, health drinks, and scooped ice cream. Advanced tickets sales will be available online, by phone, or using automated ticket kiosks.[1]
David Corwin, President of Metropolitan Theatres said, "We are excited to be participating in The Destination development and believe the center will become the most popular destination for residents of west Weber County."[1]
